Glee star Alex Newell, aka Unique, needed a concept for his music video for “B.O.Y.” off of his debut Power EP. Brand6 worked with Atlantic Records to concept and develop the story line for this upbeat break-up track.
Newell says, “This song is an anthem for anyone who has ever gone through a nasty breakup. I hope it gives people the strength to realize their own self-worth, independent from any relationship. I hope it uplifts them with a beat you can’t help but dance to.”
Brand6 provided creative direction on set and spun the story of heart break mixed with empowerment in a series of vignettes shot throughout the City. The romantic drama and infectious beat culminates in a blow out party at the Ex’s—a party he will never forget he missed.
